Our metal production forms part of a larger artistic research project that explores histories of metal guilds, metal production and beauty traditions in South Africa. We take pride in supporting artisanal metalsmiths and nurturing African economies. Our pieces are handmade, sentimentally crafted, and may contain original imperfections unique to each piece. Ruby Skies comes out of our research gem stone artisanal practitioner. Through conversation about materiality and making, we produced a limited set of hand carved ruby stone heirloom earrings.
